SERIES HISTORY
Series: First Meeting
In Ruston: 0-0
In Pullman: 0-0
Neutral: 0-0

This will be the first-ever meeting between LA Tech and Washington State and the first time the Bulldogs have played a game in the state of Washington.

It will also mark the first time since 1993 that Tech has played on the East Coast and then on the West Coast in back-to-back weeks. That season, the Bulldogs faced East Carolina in Greenville, N.C., before traveling to San Jose State in San Jose, Calif.

This is also the first time since 1939 that the Bulldogs have played back-to-back games in new states. Tech accomplished that 86 years ago when they played at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky., followed by a road game at Birmingham-Southern in Birmingham, Ala.

ABOUT LA TECH

The Bulldogs moved to 5-4 last Saturday after a 25-24 loss to Delaware on a last-second 51-yard field goal, marking the Bulldogs' third road loss of the season.

Three different quarterbacks saw action in the loss after starter Blake Baker exited the game in the first quarter with a torn ACL, sidelining him for the rest of the season. Evan Bullock stepped in and completed 11 of 15 passes for 95 yards and one interception. Trey Kukuk was 3 of 3 through the air with 66 yards. Kukuk added 28 yards on the ground. Kukuk has completed 31 of 45 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Bullock has tossed for 207 yards on 22 of 36 passing. Both have thrown two interceptions.

Running back Clay Thevenin recorded his second consecutive multi-rushing touchdown game, finding the end zone twice on 10 carries for 64 yards. The sophomore added 42 yards on three receptions to surpass 100 all-purpose yards in the game. Thevenin leads the team with 503 yards and eight scores on 94 attempts, followed by Omiri Wiggins who has found the end zone four times on 83 carries with 404 yards.

True freshman Jalen Mickens led the receiving corps with four grabs for 42 yards in the loss to Delaware. Devin Gandy recorded two grabs for 26 yards and leads the team in yards (356) and touchdowns (2) on 21 receptions. Eli Finley (28) receptions, and Marques Singleton Jr. (23) join Gandy with 20+ receptions.

Tech's defense recorded its 15th interception of the season after picking off two passes against Delaware, ranking fifth in the nation in total interceptions. Jakari Foster notched his fourth of the season, while Jacob Fields tallied his second. Fields returned his interception for a touchdown, marking the Bulldogs' seventh defensive score of the year (two fumble returns, five interception returns). In total, Tech has forced 17 takeaways this season.

The Bulldog defense held an opponent to fewer than 100 rushing yards (95) for the second time this season and for the eighth time allowed fewer than 130 yards on the ground. Tech remains as the only defense in CUSA allowing less than 20 points per game (18.9).

Fields leads the team with 65 stops. Mekhi Mason (51 tackles) surpassed the 50 tackle mark and became the first player in CUSA to record double-digit tackles for loss this season after picking up his 10th on a half TFL against the Blue Hens.
