ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (5-3)
The Lady Techsters are coming off their fifth home win of the season and their eighth straight home win, dating back to last season. Louisiana Tech knocked off intra-parish rival Grambling State 74-60, improving to 5-3 on the year. The Lady Techsters built an 18-point cushion in the second quarter and dominated inside, piling up 42 points in the paint and pulling down 19 offensive rebounds. Grambling trimmed the deficit to six in the fourth, but went ice cold down the stretch, shooting 3 of 17 and enduring a six-minute scoring drought. LA Tech capitalized, pushing the lead back to 14 to seal the victory. Jordan Marshall led the way with her third 20-point performance of the season, the second-most in Conference USA. Joy Madison-Key and Paris Bradley, two of the top four assist leaders in the league, shared gold with six dishes apiece in the game.
Jordan Marshall has emerged as one of the nation's premier rebounders. The Little Rock native ranks fifth nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 4.8 and is one of just 21 players averaging at least 10 boards per contest. Marshall has posted double-digit rebounds in three games and recorded three double doubles, including two outings of 15 points and 15 rebounds or more. The sophomore forward is also seventh in the conference in scoring with 14.6 points per game and third in field goal percentage, shooting 54.0 percent from the field.
Paris Bradley has been an all-around playmaker for the Lady Techsters. Bradley leads the team in steals with 12 and is second on the team with 30 assists. Thirty assists is good for fourth in the league. She is also second on the team with 13.3 points per game and second in rebounds with 4.4 per game. The reigning Preseason Conference USA Player of the Year is also third on the team with 12 three pointers.
Jianna Morris has been a marksman from deep. She is the lone Lady Techster to make a three-pointer in every game this season. Morris is averaging 2.9 deepshots per game on 35.4 percent shooting, both good for second in Conference USA. Despite playing 35 minutes per game, the second most in the league, Morris has only committed 10 turnovers all season.
Joy Madison-Key averages the second most assists per game (3.9) in Conference USA and leads all bench players. Her 1.6 assist/turnover ratio is third best in the conference. Madison-Key has recorded five assists in four games this season and has led the team in assists five times.

THE SERIES
Louisiana Tech trails LSU 16-14 in the all-time series. The Lady Techsters dominated early, winning 12 of the first 16 meetings, but the Tigers have flipped the script, riding a 10-game winning streak dating back to the 2002-03 season. The most recent matchup came during the 2016-17 campaign, when LSU escaped Ruston with a 77-73 victory. That game marked Brooke Stoehr's debut as Louisiana Tech's head coach.
This marks only the second time Kim Mulkey has faced her alma mater, with the first matchup coming in December 2009 as Baylor defeated Louisiana Tech 77-67.
