RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Men's Basketball head coach Talvin Hester announced Friday the signing of Bryce Dixon, a dynamic two-way guard from Cedar Hill, Texas.
 
The 6-foot-4, 197-pound guard plays for The Colony High School and joins three other Bulldogs – Braylon Wenger, Trashaun Combs-Pierce, and Adam Boyd – as part of LA Tech's signing class.
 
"Bryce is a competitor that likes to take on the challenge of guarding the opposing team's best player," said Hester.  "That is important to us because of our defensive mentality. We are ready for him to continue that mindset in our program."
 
Dixon is one of the most productive and competitive backcourt players in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.  He has already showcased his elite talent this season by being named HoopDFW Player of the Week after averaging 39.5 points and 8.0 rebounds, highlighted by a school-record 48-point game against Denton Guyer.
 
"I chose Louisiana Tech because the coaching staff and other campus staff gave me a family feeling," said Dixon.  "Having that family environment was a crucial part of my recruitment, because I have to be with my teammates and coaches every day.
 
"I felt like they have a vision for me and want me to succeed in every aspect of life and not just basketball.  I want to be able to play and compete as a freshman, and I feel like I have the best chance to do so at LA Tech."
 
His junior year featured a dominant two-way impact as he was voted the 12-5A District Defensive MVP, earned First Team All-District, and secured a spot on the UIL All-Region 2 Team.  During the season, he also eclipsed 1,000 career points.
 
Dixon began turning heads early in his career, earning First Team All-District and All-Academic honors as a sophomore in 9-5A.  As a freshman at The Colony, he was named the District 13-4A Freshman of the Year and was selected to the TABC 4A Region 2 All-Region Team.
 
Dixon will join the Bulldogs for the 2026–27 season.
