RUSTON – Louisiana Tech opens its fall season this weekend as the Bulldogs travel south to Lafayette to take part in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
Six Bulldogs return off last year's team that won 19 matches and advanced to the Conference USA Championship match for the first time in program history. The program is guided by the reigning CUSA Coach of the Year
Amy Sargeant who begins her third year at the helm.
Returning players who will see action this weekend is
Nina Skoric,
Mio Kozaki,
Maria Tsironi,
Alice Brook, and CUSA All-Freshman selection
June Vigneron. Kozaki finished the season strong last year, winning her last seven singles matches all in straight sets.
Kozaki will also team up with Skoric to make up three of LA Tech's doubles teams competing. The duo went 15-7 last season, earning Second Team All-CUSA honors.
Seeing their first action as Bulldogs will be newcomers
Diana Starodubtseva, a senior transfer from Hampton, and
Isabella Walker, a highly touted freshman from England.
THE OPPONENTS
The two-day event will start at 9 a.m. CT each day. LA Tech will take on McNeese in doubles to start on Friday, followed by singles against North Alabama and host UL-Lafayette.
Saturday will be comprised of back-to-back doubles matches against UNA and ULL and will close out with singles versus McNeese.
