ABILENE, Texas – Louisiana Tech collected 17 victories over three days, including a flight title in both singles and doubles, as the Bulldogs wrapped up play in the ACU Invitational played at the Judi and Cecil Eager Tennis Pavilion.

Following just two days of rest following her intense play at the ITA All-American Championships, Epps showed no signs of fatigue as the junior ran through Flight A. She surrendered just 10 games combined over three matches, cruising past Tadiwanashe Mauchi (Texas State) 6-2, 6-2, Nayuma Subba (Sam Houston) 6-1, 6-1, and then Maria Castano (Tarleton State) 6-3, 6-1 in the finals on Sunday.

The doubles duo of
Mio Kozaki and
June Vigneron were equally as dominant in Flight C. The tandem collected wins of 6-2 in all three matches, defeating teams from Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington, and Tarleton State to claim the title.

Vigneron continued her solid singles play also this fall. Following an undefeated weekend at the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational, the sophomore claimed two more wins, including a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory over Vanja Cado (UT Arlington) on Sunday for a third-place spot in Flight E.

Nina Skoric and
Alice Brook rebounded nicely in the consolation brackets after opening losses in Flight C and Flight F, respectively. Skoric defeated Aoka Nagasawa (UTSA) 6-1, 6-4 and Emma Petton (New Mexico State) 6-4, 6-4 while Brook prevailed over Mariella Gelbke (New Mexico State) 6-2, 6-4 and Stoney Cooks (Texas State) 6-3, 6-4.

Diana Starodubtseva tallied one win each in singles and doubles while
Maria Tsironi teamed up with Epps to be runner-up in Flight B doubles following wins of 6-2 and 6-3 against Abilene Christian and Texas State before falling 7-5 to Texas Tech in the finals.
