RUSTON – Louisiana Tech softball will travel to Hammond, La., for the first of six games this week, as the Bulldogs face No. 25 Southeastern at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening at North Oak Park. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Wednesday's matchup marks the 70th all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and Lions, with LA Tech holding a 51-18 series advantage. Neither team has won consecutive games since Tech captured four straight from 2014-17, as the teams have split the last six meetings, 3-3 with alternating wins each season.
ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-0 opening weekend in which they outscored their opponents 26-9 and outhit them 39-22. Tech took down Lipscomb 3-2 to open the season, followed by wins over UAB (7-4), SEMO (8-0) and Southern Miss in extras (8-3).
Of its 39 hits, Tech recorded 11 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles and one home run.
Reese Torres led the team with three doubles, while
Aleah Brooks and
Reagan Marchant each added two doubles. Freshman
Bradi Gallaway hit her first collegiate home run in the season opener against Lipscomb.
Torres led the team with seven RBI, including three against SEMO and two versus Southern Miss. Freshmen Brooks and Gallaway combined for eight RBI, with four apiece, while Brooks drove in three runs in the win over Southern Miss.
Freshman pitcher
Bryannah Campos was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week. The Texas native went 2-0 with one save in 10.2 innings across three appearances, including one start. Campos did not allow a run, surrendering just four hits and two walks in her first three collegiate outings. She recorded six strikeouts, including three against Southeast Missouri and three versus Southern Miss.
Tech's pitching staff posted a 1.69 ERA, with all five pitchers seeing action over the first four games.
Laney Johnson (2-0) earned both wins in relief against Lipscomb and UAB. The sophomore threw 2.1 scoreless innings against the Bison, allowing two hits, before logging 3.2 innings of relief against the Blazers and giving up two runs on five hits.
Allie Floyd made starts against Lipscomb and Southern Miss, allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits while striking out nine and walking four.

NO FOOLIN' THE FRESHMAN
The Bulldogs had five true freshmen make their collegiate debuts in the Southern Miss Tournament. The group combined for 14 hits, 9 RBI, and seven runs.
Aleah Brooks led the group and team with nine hits while
Bradi Gallaway totaled four. Brooks and Gallaway added four RBI each, while
Cali Bennett registered two hits and one RBI.

Bryannah Campos was named CUSA Freshman of the Week after picking up two wins and one save while not allowing a single run in 10.2 innings of action in the circle.
REESE WAS READY
After sitting out all last season with an injury,
Reese Torres made her long awaited LA Tech debut and was nothing short of impressive. The former George Washington transfer played in all four games of the USM Black & Gold Challenge with three starts. She batted .556 (5-for-9) with seven RBI. Torres tallied three doubles, while driving in three runs against SEMO and two against USM. She had at least one hit in all four game and two versus USM.
No. 1 IN THE BOOKS
Five Bulldogs recorded their first Division I hits during opening weekend. Freshmen Aleah Brooks, Bradi Gallaway and Cali Bennett each collected their first hits, while redshirt sophomore Gracie Flores added her first base knock. Junior college transfer Rosalie Dufresne rounded out the group with her first NCAA Division I hit.
ABOUT SOUTHEASTERN
Southeastern enters Wednesday's meeting with a 4-2 mark and as the No. 25 team in the country. The Lions earned their first ever ranking on Monday morning after picking up wins over Longwood (9-0), Rutgers (4-3), Boston College (10-1) and No. 5 Oregon (4-2) at the 2026 NFCA Leadoff Classic to open the season. SLU fell to No. 13 Clemson 5-3 in eight innings and lost to South Alabama 2-0.
Shelby Morris led the team with nine hits during opening weekend, while Cydnee Schneider (7), Ka'Lyn Watson (6), Maria Detillier (6) and Chloe Magee (5) each recorded at least five hits. Watson paced the Lions with six RBI, while Morris and Detillier drove in five apiece.
Southeastern has stolen 14 bases in 18 attempts, led by Shenita Tucker with four.
In the circle, Hallie Burns and Cera Blanchard both went 2-0 at the Leadoff Classic, with Burns pitching a team-high 14.1 innings. Burns allowed two runs on six hits while striking out 19.
