RUSTON – Louisiana Tech softball continues its nine-game homestand with four games over the next four days, beginning with ULM in the battle of I-20 on Thursday night. The Bulldogs will then host Southern Miss for a weekend series starting Friday evening with a single game, followed by single games on Saturday and Sunday. All five games will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
The Bulldogs improved to 9-2 on the season with a 12-3, five-inning win over Northwestern State on Tuesday. The victory marked Tech's first run-rule win of the year, its highest run output of the season and the first time that the Bulldogs have registered 10 or more runs this season.
LA Tech had four players record two hits apiece against NSU in
Bradi Gallaway,
Reese Torres,
Allie Furr and
Rosalie Dufresne. Torres led the team with four RBI and three runs scored.
Elena Heng added two RBI.
Torres homered for the third straight game and is tied with
Reagan Marchant for the team lead with three home runs. Torres leads the Bulldogs with 15 RBI and seven extra-base hits. Her 15 RBI rank second in Conference USA entering Thursday night's contest. Marchant ranks second on the squad with 10 RBI, while Marchant and Torres are tied for the team lead in runs scored with nine.
The Bulldogs have six players with 10 or more hits entering Thursday night's game. Freshman
Aleah Brooks leads LA Tech with 14 hits, followed by
Elena Heng and
Allie Furr with 12 hits each.
Bradi Gallaway (11) and Resse Torres (10) round out the list.
Three different pitchers saw action in the win over NSU as
Allie Floyd made the start and pitched 2.0 innings, followed by
Laney Johnson who tossed 1.0 inning and
Bryannah Campos who logged 2.0 innings. Johnson earned the win and moves to 4-0 in the circle to start the season.
The Bulldogs have a 2.61 staff ERA. Floyd (2-1) has pitched a team-high 27.0 innings and leads the team with 27 strikeouts. Johnson had logged 19.0 innings in the circle, while Campos (2-0) has pitched 17.2 innings.
