RUSTON – Louisiana Tech student-athletes continued their strong performance in the classroom during the winter quarter, combining to post a 3.336 grade point average.

The mark represents the third consecutive academic term in which Bulldog and Lady Techster student-athletes have achieved a department-wide GPA of at least 3.33.

Thirteen of Louisiana Tech's 14 athletic programs recorded a team GPA of 3.00 or higher for the term. Women's basketball led the way, earning the highest team GPA in recorded history with a 3.65. The Lady Techsters were one of five programs to post a team GPA of 3.50 or better, joined by women's cross country, soccer, softball, and tennis.

In total, 218 Bulldogs and Lady Techsters earned placement on the Athletics Director's Honor Roll by achieving a term GPA of 3.00 or higher. Of those, 164 student-athletes received additional academic recognition, including 110 who were named to the Dean's List (3.50-3.85 GPA) and 54 who earned President's List honors (3.85 GPA or higher).

Four LA Tech student-athletes also completed their degrees this winter: Jakari Foster (football), Riley Hnatyshyn (golf), Nia Wiley (women's track and field), and Kaeden Robinson (volleyball).
