Senior pitcher
Allie Floyd tossed a 7.0 inning complete-game shutout as she allowed just four hits and struck out a season-high eight batters. The shutout win marks Floyd's first shutout victory of the season.
The Bulldogs outhit the Blue Hens 9-4 with three hits going for doubles, as Delaware recorded four singles.

Rosalie Dufresne and
Alannah Rogers all finished with two hits apiece, while
Cali Bennett,
Reagan Marchant and
Bradi Gallaway collected one hit each. Gallaway, Dufresne and Rogers all doubled in the win.
Rogers and Gallaway drove in two runs apiece, while Heng drove in one run.
After walking the first batter of the game and allowing a single to the second hitter, Floyd found a rhythm in the circle, striking out the next two batters and inducing a foul out to third to close the top of the third, leaving two base runners stranded.
Floyd worked around a single in the second with two strikeouts and a foul out, then retired the side in order in the third with a groundout, fly out and strikeout, her fifth punch out of the night.
LA Tech got on the board in the bottom of the third as Gallaway delivered a two-out, bases-clearing double to left field that scored
Carolina Eidson and Torres. Marchant recorded a two-out single and was pinch run for by Eidson, who advanced to second on a Torres walk before Gallaway's double scored both runners.
The Bulldogs added one run on four hits in the bottom of the fourth after Floyd retired the side in order in the top of the frame. Dufresne singled to start the inning and was pinch run for by
Avery Jefferson. Jefferson advanced to second on a
Jina Baffuto sac bunt and scored on a single down the left field line from Rogers to make it 3-0 LA Tech.
Floyd issued a leadoff four-pitch walk to start the fifth before a groundout and a single put two runners on. After a swinging strikeout, Floyd allowed her second walk of the inning to load the bases before recording her seventh strikeout of the night on a 3-2 count after an eight-pitch at-bat.
LA Tech added two runs in the sixth to take a 5-0 lead. Dufresne led off the inning with a double and advanced to third on a Baffuto sacrifice bunt. Rogers doubled to left-center to score Dufresne and make it 4-0, while Heng followed with a single to the pitcher. Delaware made a throwing error on the play, allowing Rogers to score and make it 5-0 Tech.
The Bulldogs ended the game on a 2-4 caught stealing from Dufresne to Baffuto in the top of the seventh. Delaware challenged the call, but it was upheld.

Head coach
Josh Taylor
Coach Taylor's Postgame Comments.…
"[We played] looser and free. It is something we talked about all week leading into it. We also played Louisiana Tech softball. We got great pitching, got a great start from Allie [Floyd]. We had timely hits and we had good at bats all night and then we played really well on defense so that is a recipe that we preach here and they actually went out and really executed well. I am really proud of them for how they went out tonight and played Louisiana Tech Softball."
