The team is coming off a hot start to the outdoor season with 22 top-five finishes and two individual victories. Fifteen of those 22 finishes were in the top three of the event.

No start was hotter than
Jamara Patterson's blazing 51.56 400m, breaking a 20 year old outdoor program record. She broke the previous meet record of 52.13, securing an event win.

A'reil Williams also secured an event win in the women's high jump, leaping 1.75 meters. It marked her sixth career jump of at least 1.75 meters or higher and her 10
th career top-three outdoor finish.

The men's and women's 4x100 relay teams finished top three in their respective events. The womens squad of
Praise Ofoku,
Tyrica Sterrett,
Jaitlyn Ware and
Shayann Demeritte finished third with a time of 45.11. The men's team of Carl Murray IV,
Abdulraof Oriade Rashid,
Lukundo Kapambalala and
Karo Oghomi finished second with a time of 39.64. It marked the 10
th fastest time in outdoor program history.

Oscar Smith made his season debut with a third place finished in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.71.

Nia Wiley rounded out the top five in the women's 400, taking the third, fourth and fifth-place spots.Â
Sabastian Bradley-Reed finished third in the men's 400 with a time of 46.68, whileÂ

Sterrett and Ware finished second and third in the women's 100, while Oghomi andÂ
Madonna Favour also took second and third in the men's 100. Two of Tech's three javelin throwers also saw top three finishes.Â
Annie Jones finished as the runner-up with a throw of 39.02 meters, andÂ
Zachary Drake finished in third for the men with a throw of 62.54 meters.
