Series History: LA Tech leads 80-54 (since 1970)

Tech enters the contest in the midst of their second six-game losing streak of the season, marking the first time since 2014 the 'Dogs have burdened a losing streak of six or more twice in the same year.

The 52 runs that Tech has allowed during the past six games is the most allowed in a losing streak of at least six games since 2011, when the 'Dogs were outscored 53-26 during a six-game span of a nine-game losing streak that year.

Colby Lunsford remains one of the top hitters in Conference USA, sitting among the top five in doubles, homers, slugging percentage, total bases and OPS.

The Bulldogs took the season series from the Warhawks, 2-1, in 2025 with Tech winning two games at the Love Shack and suffering the lone loss of the season to ULM in Monroe. The first contest of last year took place on March 18, with the 'Dogs taking a 6-2 midweek win before falling 8-3 just less than a month later on April 15 in Monroe.

Tech scored 5 in the second to take a 5-1 lead on May 13 before ULM would cut the lead to 5-4, but a pair of insurance runs were added in the sixth on a two-RBI double from Sebastian Mexico to secure the season series win.

LA Tech is 10-2 since 2008 when playing the Warhawks at home, with ULM's last win in the Love Shack dating back to April 12, 2023 when the 'Dogs fell 8-5.

ULM is coming off a Sun Belt series win on the road at UL-Lafayette, taking the first two games, 5-3 and 7-3, before getting shut out 4-0 in the series finale. The Ragin' Cajuns jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fourth of the series opener before ULM cashed in five unanswered runs, four coming in the sixth.

The Warhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in Game 2, but ULL tied in the fifth before two runs were added by ULM in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead. The Cajuns cut their deficit to one in the seventh followed with both sides exchanging runs in the eighth, however a three-run ninth by ULM secured the series win.

The Warhawks have three everyday starters batting over .345 this year, led by Kade Dupont's .388 at the plate with 26 starts. Davis Mauzy has a staggering .383 with starts in all 29 games for ULM, and Jake Haggard is batting .347.

Mauzy and Haggard are the only two Warhawks with 40+ hits, while Haggard also leads the team with 40 RBI and 72 total bases. Haggard has six homers on the season, second-most on the team behind Dayne Wray's eight.

Bryce Blaser has been one of the most efficient baserunners for ULM thus far, having stolen 12 bases on a perfect 12 attempts. Micah Dean is also 11-12 on stolen bases with nine less games played in than Blaser.
