MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Louisiana Tech completed a road sweep on Wednesday, defeating Middle Tennessee by a final score of 4-1 at the MTSU Tennis Complex.
Â
Following wins at UAB and Jacksonville State, LA Tech (9-2, 2-0 CUSA) was playing its third road match in five days. In the end, the Bulldogs swept all three, making it six victories in a row.
Â
The Bulldogs got down early on courts one and two in doubles, but those were the two courts that came through with the wins. The 70th-ranked duo of
Zoie Epps and
Isabella Walker trailed 0-3 but then reel off five straight games to ultimately win 6-4 at No. 1.
Â
Clinching the doubles point for LA Tech was the experienced tandem of
Maria Tsironi and
Alice Brook who broke a 4-all tie to win it 6-4 at No. 2.
Â
Epps, Walker, and Tsironi would also provide points in singles for the Bulldogs. It was business as usual for Epps, who got announced as the CUSA Athlete of the Week during the match, as the junior took care of Lena Peyer 6-2, 6-0 on court one. Tsironi then made it 3-0 for LA Tech, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 on court four over Sara Conden.
Â
MTSU (2-7, 0-1 CUSA) got on the scoreboard with a come-from-behind victory on court two, but Walker stopped any potential comeback by the Blue Raiders with an 0-6, 6-4, 6-1 comeback win against Zenn Lim on court six.

QUOTABLES
Head coach Amy Sargeant
Â
"This road trip was more than just a series of matches, it was a statement about who we are and where we are headed. Every time we step on the court, we grow. We are learning our strengths, sharpening our weapons, and building a standard that gets stronger with each opportunity to compete."
Â
"I could not be prouder of this team's fight, their resilience in tough moments, and their composure under pressure. We do not just show up, we battle, we stay connected, and we find ways to win. This group is special. There is confidence building in this team, and it is exciting to watch. Now, we regroup and bring that same energy back home. Excited for the next stretch in front of our home crowd."
