LEXINGTON, Ky. –
Jamara Patterson tied her own record again in the 400m on the final day of the NCAA East Regional Saturday night, concluding the 2026 season.

Patterson, who ran a program best 50.98 in the preliminary round of the 400m on Thursday, ran it again to tie her personal best. It is only the second sub-51 second 400m dash in program history. Patterson finished 13
th in the event, barely missing the train to Eugene by a hundredth of a second.

Patterson with her two runs of 50.98 now owns the first, second, third, fourth, fifth *and* sixth fastest times in outdoor program history. She ran them all this season alone.

Kaitlyn Washington threw 42.98m in the discus to start the day, placing 43
rd in the event. The senior from Broussard had four podium finishes this season, including two first places and a silver medal at the CUSA Outdoor Championships.

Closing out the night, the women's 4x400m relay team of
Tyhra Charles, Patterson,
Osaretin Joy Usenbor and
Nia Wiley placed 17
th in the event, running a 3:33.84 time. It marks the eighth fastest time in program history.
