Schuvalow and Bailey continue to lead 'Dogs in round two.

RUSTON – Bulldog golf finished day two of the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek CC in Choudrant, LA shooting 283 (-5), concluding round two in 2nd place.

Like the opening round, multi-year returners Oskari Schuvalow and Morton Bailey led the way for the Bulldogs. Both finished Tuesday shooting two under par. On the back nine, Schuvalow shot three birdies (Nos. 11, 13, and 17), while Bailey recorded back-to-back birdies on No. 13 and 14.

Moving onto the front nine, Bailey cleaned up his bogeys from the back, shooting two birdies on Nos. 2 and 7. He shot par on every other hole, finishing the round in 3rd. Schuvalow had one bogey, but also a beautiful birdie putt on No. 5. With his performance, he enters day three in 2nd place, only behind Lamar's Nathan Woodham, who had six birdies today.

Abel Derksen rebounded today, shooting a 71 (-1). He had five birdies. He jumped nineteen spots from day one, now tied for 33rd. Reda El Hali had an inconsistent performance, but shot even par. On the back nine, he had an eagle on No. 17, the eleventh of the tournament, and three birdies. But, he also had two bogeys and one double bogey. Despite the uneven back nine, El Hali ended the day at the same spot he started the round, tied for 22nd.

Louisiana Tech fell one spot after North Texas shot fourteen under par today. Behind the Bulldogs are Troy (569, -7) and Lamar (572, -4).
