Willie Roaf

Roaf is considered to be among the greatest offensive linemen to ever play at Louisiana Tech. The Pine Bluff, Ark. native was a two-time all-South Independent Conference selection as well as a two-time all-Louisiana. In 1992, Roaf earned all-American honors. A team captain in 1992, Roaf blocked for a strong rushing attack that went to the 1990 Independence Bowl and finished with an 8-3-1 record. Known for his blocking ability, and for his considerable speed for his size, he was a finalist in his senior year for the Outland Trophy for the best offensive lineman in college. The No. 8 overall pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, Roaf enjoyed a 12-year career highlighted by 11 Pro Bowl appearances as member of the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs.
