Alexa Garcia enters her second season with the Louisiana Tech baseball team as the Director of Player Development. 

In the role, Garcia will be responsible for the Bulldogs' strength and conditioning throughout the Spring season. She will be designing and implementing warm-ups and lifts throughout the year with a special focus on keeping the 'Dogs healthy on the road. 

Garcia earned her Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She has worked with Florida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University baseball programs, as well as headed up the Collegiate Baseball League of the Palm Beaches. Garcia was also a strength coach at Cressey Sports Performance, where she worked with professional baseball players in the offseason. Garcia is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

In addition to working with the Bulldogs, Garcia teaches a variety of undergraduate activities classes while pursuing her Master's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Performance.
