Ryan Cross begins his third season as assistant coach where his primary duties continue to be on the floor coaching as well as recruiting.

Cross was added to the Tech staff in June of 2003 after serving four years as the head coach and athletics director at Chipola Junior College in Florida.

After serving as an assistant coach for two seasons at Barton County (Kan.) Community College, Cross took over as head coach and guided Barton to a 35-3 record and a spot in the NJCAA National Championship game.  For his efforts, Cross was named the NABC National Junior College Coach of the Year and NJCAA District 6 Coach of the Year.

Cross spent five seasons as a junior college head coach and owns a career record of 115-45.  He went 80-42 at Chipola and during the 2002-03 season guided that team to a 23-9 record and a berth in the final four of the NJCAA Region 8 Tournament and finished second in the Panhandle Conference.

He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo in 1995 and a master's degree in high education from Fort Hays State University in 2000.  Cross played three years at the University of Buffalo after playing a season at Sante Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla.

Cross is a native of Canton, Ohio and he and wife Karen are the parents of daughters Taylor, Kelsy and Amber.
