Blake Talos joined the Louisiana Tech Athletic Department in July of 2017 as the Director of Basketball Strength and Conditioning. In 2021, Talos was promoted to Director of Olympic Sports Performance.
 Prior to arriving in Ruston, Talos spend a year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at The Citadel. During his time in Charleston, he was directly responsible for the year-round development of Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Track and Field. He also assisted with football and other sports.
Talos completed his Masters Degree at Nicholls State University where he was a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. At Nicholls, he was responsible for the year-round development of Men’s Basketball, Track and Field, and Golf. He also assisted with all other sports.
While obtaining both of his degrees Talos completed several internships at Purdue University, the University of Tennessee, IMPACT Basketball in Las Vegas, and Quinnipiac University.
Talos earned his Bachelors of Science in Sports Performance from Purdue University in 2014, and his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Nicholls State University in May 2016. He holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), United States Weightlifting (USAW), and the American Heart Association (CPR/AED).
