Jacobe Julien is entering his second season as a graduate manager for the Louisiana Tech Men's Basketball program and coach Eric Konkol, working primarily as a director for player development.
Julien came to Louisiana Tech from Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona where he was an assistant coach for one year under Mark Bunker who was named the 2019-20 ACCAC Coach of the Year. Julien was responsible for individual and group training as well as academic monitoring through the school year as SCC compiled an overall record of 23-8 and earned the No. 1 seed in the Region 1 playoffs. The team stayed in the NJCAA national rankings for 13 straight polls, climbing as high as No. 9 in the country.
Julien came to Scottsdale CC from Solon High School in Solon, Iowa (just outside of Cedar Rapids) where he was the head sophomore coach in 2018-19 and the head freshman coach/assistant varsity coach in 2017-18.
As a student, Julien graduated from Mount Mercy University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at LA Tech in Business Administration.
Julien played basketball at Mount Mercy and was part of an Independent Conference championship which included a National Tournament appearance in 2015-16.
