Louisiana Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey, along with Associate Vice President/Deputy Athletics Director Mary Kay Hungate, announced the hiring of Lindsey McKaskle in the spring of 2024. McKaskle serves as Senior Associate AD for Student-Athlete Success Services.

Under the leadership of McKaskle, LA Tech student-athletes excelled academically during the 2024-25 academic year.  Her guidance contributed to the department having a cumulative GPA of 3.267, the highest on record at the university, with 634 AD Honor Roll recipients across the academic year's three quarters.

A school-record 40 student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors.  There were also 220 student-athletes named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, the third most in school history, with 63 of those also being CUSA Academic Medalists.

Also a reflection of the school's academic excellence was nine CUSA All-Academic Team selections spanning six different sports.

McKaskle, a native of West Monroe, Louisiana, came to Ruston after spending nearly four years at Eastern Kentucky where she was Executive Associate AD for Administration, overseeing all areas of student-athlete success and well-being including NCAA compliance, academics, sports medicine, sports performance, and mental health services.

She served as liaison between athletics and human resources by facilitating all aspects of the hiring process for athletic department staff members and coaches. She was also sport administrator for men's basketball and beach volleyball.

Prior to working at EKU, McKaskle spent over three years at Nicholls State. While in Thibodaux, Louisiana, she served as Executive Associate AD for Internal Affairs and was the Senior Woman Administrator for the Colonels as well as sport administrator for women's basketball, soccer, and softball.

For a period in 2020, McKaskle stepped in as Interim Athletics Director at Nicholls during the beginning of the COVID pandemic. As interim AD, she developed return-to-participation protocols for student-athletes during the summer and fall months.

Her first stint at EKU came from 2010-14 when she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the EKU compliance unit as Director of Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator.

McKaskle began her collegiate athletics career, serving as a compliance intern at both Vanderbilt and Belmont. Prior to working in athletics, she spent five years working as a records clerk with the West Monroe Police Department.

McKaskle earned her bachelor’s in sociology from Louisiana College in 2003 and was a four-year letter winner for the softball team. From there, she earned her master’s at Belmont University in 2009 in sports administration.Â
