Tyler Krobetzky has played an integral role in Louisiana Tech’s offensive development since joining the Bulldogs’ coaching staff prior to the 2022 season.
During his five seasons in Ruston, Krobetzky has helped the Bulldogs produce five consecutive 30-win seasons, the 2022 Conference USA regular-season championship and some of the top individual offensive performances in program history.
Krobetzky made an immediate impact in his first season as the Bulldogs won 39 games and captured the 2022 CUSA regular-season title.
His influence on the Tech offense became even more evident in 2023 as Kylie Neel and Katelin Cooper produced two of the top RBI totals in program history. Neel batted .351 with 17 extra-base hits and a team-leading 45 RBI, which ranked fourth in program history at the time, while Cooper drove in 42 runs.
In 2024, Tech hitters combined for 246 RBI and 21 home runs while four Bulldogs recorded at least 40 hits and two drove in more than 30 runs.
Alexis Gilio earned first-team All-CUSA honors after batting .383 with 64 hits, while six Bulldogs finished the season with at least 30 hits.
The Bulldogs continued to produce offensively in 2025, led by Reagan Marchant’s record-setting first season in Ruston.
Marchant broke the LA Tech single-season record with 18 home runs while batting .313 with 50 hits, 11 doubles and a team-high 53 RBI. Her .731 slugging percentage also led the Bulldogs as she became just the third player in program history to record at least 50 hits and 50 RBI in the same season.
Nicole Hammoude led Tech with a .346 batting average while collecting 55 hits, 11 doubles, eight home runs and 42 RBI. Gilio batted .323 with a team-high 61 hits, while freshman Elena Heng hit .321 with 60 hits and scored a team-leading 40 runs.
Marchant and Hammoude earned first-team All-CUSA honors, while Gilio was named to the second team and Heng and Allie Furr earned CUSA All-Freshman Team recognition.
Tech’s offense continued its production in 2026, batting .293 as a team with 439 hits, 70 doubles, 40 home runs and 264 runs scored. The Bulldogs also drew 201 walks and stole 51 bases.
Furr led the Bulldogs with a .357 batting average and 65 hits, while Heng batted .326 with 56 hits and a team-high 35 runs scored. Bradi Gallaway hit .317 with 12 doubles, 11 home runs and 47 RBI.
Marchant followed her record-setting 2025 campaign with 17 home runs and a team-high 48 RBI in 2026, giving her 35 home runs over her first two seasons as a Bulldog.
Krobetzky arrived in Ruston after spending the 2020 and 2021 seasons on Josh Taylor’s coaching staff at Nevada, where he served as a volunteer assistant and camp coordinator. He assisted with the Wolf Pack’s catchers and hitters, helping a 2021 squad that produced two first-team and three second-team All-Mountain West selections.
Before entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Krobetzky spent seven years playing and coaching baseball professionally and internationally.
He spent six months in Auckland, New Zealand, helping the Central City Mariners to a runner-up finish in the country’s national tournament while also assisting with the club’s U15 team. His international baseball experience also included stops in Japan, Australia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa and the Czech Republic.
Before his international career, Krobetzky played three seasons of independent professional baseball for the Old Orchard Beach Surge in Maine, Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings in Texas and Hilo Hawaii Stars.
Krobetzky earned a degree in psychology from Spring Arbor University in Michigan after transferring from Saddleback College in California.
A native of Orange County, California, Krobetzky and his wife, Chelsea, have two children, son Darby and daughter Abriel Ruth.
