Louisiana Tech Tennis head coach Amy Sargeant announced the hiring of Eleonora Molinaro as the Bulldogs’ assistant coach on Sept. 30, 2025.
Molinaro completed her first season on staff in 2026, helping guide LA Tech through one of the most successful campaigns in program history as the Bulldogs posted a 17-4 overall record and set a new school record with an .810 winning percentage. LA Tech earned the program’s first ever No. 1 seed in the Conference USA Championship and spent two weeks ranked nationally in the ITA team rankings, climbing as high as No. 64 to match the highest ranking in program history.
The Bulldogs produced a nine-match winning streak during the spring, went undefeated at home with a 5-0 mark for the first time since 2017, and posted a perfect 5-0 record in Conference USA regular season play for a second consecutive year. LA Tech also totaled 12 road and neutral-site victories, tied for the second most in program history, while finishing 68-32 in dual singles and 34-16 in dual doubles, the best doubles record in program history.
In her debut season, Molinaro helped coach five All-Conference USA selections, including Zoie Epps, who became the program’s first ever CUSA Player of the Year. The Bulldogs also advanced to the semifinals of the CUSA Championship for a fourth consecutive season.
Molinaro joined the Bulldogs following a standout collegiate career at the University of Tennessee, where she compiled 106 career victories and earned SEC Honor Roll recognition three times.
A native of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Molinaro helped Tennessee reach four NCAA Tournaments, including a historic run to the NCAA Final Four during her senior season—just the second in program history. That year, she posted a 17-4 singles record and a 12-3 doubles mark as the Volunteers finished the season ranked No. 9 nationally.
She finished her collegiate career with a 56-37 singles record and a 50-31 doubles record, reaching as high as No. 47 nationally in doubles. As a junior, she recorded 31 combined victories while helping Tennessee finish third in the SEC with an 11-2 conference record.
Her sophomore season featured single-season career highs in both singles and doubles wins, including her 25th singles victory coming against VCU in the NCAA Tournament. She was also named a 2022 ITA Scholar-Athlete and earned SEC Player of the Week honors after going 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles during road wins over Charlotte and Wake Forest.
Molinaro has represented her home court of Luxembourg in the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly known as the Fed Cup) nine times since 2015.
