HONOLULU, Hawaii ? Hawaii completed a three-game Western Athletic Conference sweep of Louisiana Tech late Saturday night downing the Lady Techsters 6-3 in the final contest of the series.

Hawaii (29-20, 10-5 WAC) plated two runs in the first, second and sixth innings, all coming off Louisiana Tech starter Lesley Aycock (3-7), who took the loss.

With Hawaii leading 4-0 heading into the top of the third inning, Tech (18-38, 2-7) fought back by scoring three runs. Sandy Carroll and Jessica Elson registered back to back one-out singles before Amber Miles drove Carroll home with an RBI single to left center.

Kate Robinson came on in relief for starter Melissa Coogan and promptly threw back to back wild pitches, allowing both Elson and Miles to score to cut the deficit to 4-3. Brittany Stanley and Rochelle Sandberg each registered singles to put runners on first and second with only one out, but Regan Clark then hit into an inning ending double play.

Tech registered five of its six hits in the third inning.

The score remained 4-3 until the bottom of the sixth inning when Hawaii plated two more runs on three hits.

Robinson (4-2) retired all three Tech batters in the final frame to pick up the win in relief, allowing zero runs on three hits in 4.2 innings of work.

Aycock allowed six earned runs on 13 hits and one walk in the complete game loss for the Lady Techsters.

Sandberg led Tech with two hits in the game.

The Lady Techsters return to action Wednesday with an out of conference doubleheader at Southern Miss starting at 5 p.m.
