RUSTON, La. ? The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs could not put any points on the board in a 42-0 loss at Joe Aillet Stadium to Nevada on Saturday. The Wolf Pack took advantage of lengthy punt returns and turnovers to get the win.

Nevada used the legs of running back Luke Lippincott in the win, who ran for 122 yards in the contest and scored three of Nevada?s touchdowns. Robert Hubbard also added two scores on the ground for the Wolf Pack and gained 53 yards rushing.

Tech coach Jack Bicknell said his team could not stop Nevada and failed to produce on offense in the loss.

?Offensively we didn?t to anything today. That?s disappointing because I feel we?ve got a better offense than that,? Bicknell said. ?Obviously, that doesn?t help out a defense any. I?ve never been through a game like it. We get down to their one-yard line and we can?t punch it in.?

Tech (3-8, 1-5 WAC) had four turnovers on offense and had 331 yards of total offense to Nevada?s 409. Patrick Jackson led Tech with 89 yards rushing and receiving with 55 yards through the air. Quarterback Zac Champion completed 12-of-22 passes for 137 yards and threw two interceptions.

Nevada (8-3, 5-2) set the tone early in the matchup after forcing a 3-and-out on Tech?s first possession to start the game. The Wolf Pack proceeded to move down the field and eat more than six minutes off the clock before a four-yard touchdown run by Lippincott.

Tech?s offense again was plagued by turnovers with Champion?s two interceptions and two fumbles lost by the Bulldogs.

Defensively for the Bulldogs, Shalamar Walker had an interception in his third consecutive game. Walker saw his first extended action at North Texas two weeks ago when he got his first pick.

The Bulldogs finish their home schedule next week with a showdown with conference rival Fresno State at 8 p.m. Friday on ESPN2. The ?Battle of the Bone? has grown into a heated rivalry in the WAC, and Fresno State (3-7, 3-3) comes to Ruston following a 34-0 win over Idaho.

Bicknell said he was glad to see his team fight to the end Saturday and hopes the Bulldogs can take something away from the loss.

?I told them to stick together. No one quit out there,? Bicknell said. ?I said to learn some lessons from this. There?s a lot of adversity here, and we?re going back to work tomorrow and keep believing in each other. Let?s go back to work and get ready for the next one.?

Tech returns to action Friday when it hosts Fresno State at 8 p.m. in a nationally televised contest at Joe Aillet Stadium.
