LAS CRUCES, N.M. ? New Mexico State downed Louisiana Tech 10-1 and 15-7 Saturday afternoon to complete a three-game Western Athletic Conference sweep of the Lady Techsters.

The Aggies used thirteen hits in game one of the Saturday?s doubleheader at New Mexico State Softball Complex to defeat Tech.

After scoring seven runs in the first two innings, the Aggies (21-13, 4-2
WAC) pushed three more runs across the plate in the bottom of the sixth, giving New Mexico State the win over the Lady Techsters (8-21, 0-6 WAC).

The Techsters' lone run came in the third inning when freshman Danielle Sheridan singled and scored on an RBI single by junior Carly White. Emma Barnes and Sheridan led offensively with two hits each, while Regan Clark, White, Ashley Cameron and Sandy Carroll all contributed one hit each.

Kristin Rupp (1-4) was tagged with the loss after 1.1 innings of work, allowing six earned runs on seven hits.

New Mexico State's Kim Watson (7-4) picked up the win, allowing only one run off of five hits in 4.0 innings of play.

In the second game of the afternoon, the Aggies scored in all five innings, banging out 15 hits off Tech pitchers Lesley Aycock and Krissi Oliver.

Aycock (3-5) picked up the loss, allowing six runs ? four earned ? on six hits and two walks in 2.0 innings of action. Oliver came on in relief and allowed nine runs ? eight earned ? on nine hits in 2.1 innings of action.

Clark led Tech offensively with two hits and four RBI, including a home run, while Barnes also added two more hits. Sheridan, Rochelle Sandberg, White and Carroll each added one hit.

Stacey Lien led the Aggies with three hits and seven RBI in the win.

Tech returns to action April 5 with a doubleheader at San Diego.
