Brietta Thomas signed with Louisiana Tech out of University Lab High School in Baton Rouge where she led the program to the Louisiana Class 2A state semifinals. Thomas was named the District 8-2A MVP and also played volleyball for the school.
Q: What is one thing about yourself that most people don?t know.
A: That I should be a 17-year-old senior in high school this fall (instead of starting college).
Q: Why did you decide to sign with Louisiana Tech?
A: Their outstanding history of women?s basketball
Q: In your opinion, what does it mean to be a Lady Techster?
A: It means striving for excellence, giving 110% and being an overall great person while trying to achieve high goals.
Q: What has been the hardest transition to college so far?
A: Not having my mom there all the time to do everything for me.
Q: As a player, what is your no. 1 goal for yourself this year?
A: My goal is to find a place on the court and to contribute as much as I can to my team.

A: Finally making it to state my senior year, even though we didn?t win it.
Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: I?m extremely shy until I get to know someone. I?m friendly, trustworthy, and have strong work ethics. I?m an easy going person.

A: Math

A: 2. I wanted 20 but it?s retired so I decided to go with 2.
Q: What is the strongest aspect of your game?
A: My ability to see the floor and find the open man.
Q: What would your dream job be and why?
A: My dream job would be to become famous like Michael Jordan and have my own clothing line and shoe contract.
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to take with you?
A: Water, my laptop for entertainment and to use as a reflector, and some snacks
