Promotions Set for Tech/Boise State Game

RUSTON ? The Louisiana Tech athletic department will be participating in the 2008 NCAA/WAC ?Pack the House? Challenge for Louisiana Tech?s Jan. 12 game against Boise State at the Thomas Assembly Center.

The ?Pack the House? Challenge is a national competition where Division I NCAA member schools compete to increase attendance figures, gain national exposure, win great prizes, and grow the sport of women?s basketball.

In an effort to win the ?Pack the House? Challenge, Louisiana Tech will be offering free tailgating outside the Thomas Assembly Center before the Lady Techsters battle the Boise State Broncos ? the two teams that shared last year?s WAC regular season title.

Tailgating will kick off at 5 p.m. Free tailgating will be open to all local businesses, organizations and fans and spots will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tailgaters may set up on the concourse level OUTSIDE the arena as well as on the nearby hills and steps surrounding the TAC.

Other activities and promotions for this game include:

? Military Appreciation Game: all past and present Military personnel get in free with ID. Military tailgating tent will be set up with giveaways including autographed basketballs and t-shirts. Paintball lanes will be set up with real M4 weaponry; HUM-V displays; half-time: laser obstacle course demo and National Guard vs AFROTC vs Tech students push-up competition

? WAC Play-Up Tour: the WAC tent will be set up at tailgating with giveaways such as Tech knit hats and t-shirts. Fans can register to WIN A TRIP TO WAC CONFERENCE TOURNEY as well as for in-game contests to win valuable prizes

? ?Lasso the Bronco? contest to win gift certificates

? $4 tickets available to children and students ages 3-17

? $2 tickets available to all junior high or high school basketball teams (if
they come together)

? Raising Cane?s Challenge for FREE FOOD if the Lady Techsters reach 65 points (2 for 1)
