RUSTON - Louisiana Tech senior forward JoKeirra Sneed has been named the Western Athletic Conference player of the week for the week of Feb. 11-17, the second time she has earned the award this year.

Sneed, from Belle Glade, Fla. (Glades Central HS), recorded her WAC-leading 17th double double of the year with 18 points and 17 rebounds on the road against New Mexico State.

Sneed connected on 10-of-11 free throws in the game. She then scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 70-54 win over San Jose State in Ruston. Sneed hit 9-of-10 free throws in that contest.

On the week, Sneed averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, while adding two assists and a block. She also hit 19-of-21 shots from the charity stripe.
