RUSTON - Louisiana Tech head coach Chris Long knew he had signed three of the best prep stars in the state of Alabama during the early period in November.
Long's opinion was confirmed as Jasmine Bendolph, DeAngela Sword and Kiara Young were all selected to represent their state in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game March 20 at the Pelham Civic Complex.
Sword averaged 24.6 points and scored over 1,800 in her career for G.W. Carver High School and she joins her future Lady Techster teammates Bendolph (Davidson High School) and Young (Lauderdale County High School) as potential state player of the year candidates for Alabama.
