RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech will look to rebound from a tough loss on Tuesday to rival Louisiana-Lafayette with a three-game set against Ohio Valley Conference foe Tennessee-Martin this weekend. Game times are set for 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

Tech (9-6) tied a school record with seven errors in the 11-2 loss to the Ragin' Cajuns on Tuesday. Nine of ULL's 11 runs were unearned as all but two positions committed errors on the night. Chris Kersten was about the only bright spot offensively for Tech as he went 2-for-4 on the night.

Tennessee-Martin (1-10) got its first win of the season on Tuesday, a 2-0 victory at Arkansas-Little Rock. UALR would respond in a big way on Wednesday with a 19-5 shellacking of the Skyhawks in Little Rock.

The teams have met twice before, both times in the 1971 NCAA College Division Mideast Regional in Marietta, Ohio. Louisiana Tech won both meetings, 9-2 on May 20 and 8-5 on May 22. Ronnie Botica and Gary Crawford got the pitching wins over the Pacers (as UTM's teams were then known), and Fred McGaha, Art Thigpen and Gary Patterson were the offensive stars for Pat "Gravy" Patterson's first league championship team.

Friday night, Dylan Moseley (1-2, 3.14) will get the call for Tech against UTM lefthander Will Blackmon (0-1, 14.09). Moseley pitched 5.1 solid innings against Central Arkansas on Saturday but took the hard-luck loss, giving up two runs and seeing the Tech offense unable to get on the board despite 10 hits.

Junior righthander Jericho Jones (3-1, 4.50) is slated to start Saturday, where he will face UT-Martin righthander Wes Patterson (0-0, 14.21). Jones got his third win of the season against Central Arkansas in Sunday's first game, throwing 5.1 shutout innings while scattering three hits.

Sunday's finale will see Tech senior Alan Knotts (1-0, 4.32) take the hill to face a UT-Martin pitcher that is yet to be determined. Knotts has the best ERA among regular starters and leads the Bulldogs with 17 strikeouts on the year.

The availability of GameTracker for this weekend's series is currently unknown, pending the restoration of internet capabilities to J.C. Love Field. Keep checking www.latechsports.com throughout the day Friday for updates.
