LAFAYETTE -- Lipscomb pitcher Christen Campbell pitched a complete-game no hitter to lead her team to a 1-0 victory over Louisiana Tech Saturday morning at the Louisiana Classic.

Campbell allowed only two base runners the entire game on a third inning walk to LA Tech freshman rightfielder Amanda Parsonage and a fifth inning walk to junior catcher Jessica Kirby.

Tech starter Meghan Krieg (0-1) was the tough-luck loser allowing only one run on five hits and three walks while striking out nine in 7.0 innings of work in the circle.

The game was 0-0 until the top of the sixth inning when the Bison scored the lone run of the game on a two-out RBI single by Campbell, scoring Abby Keese who had advanced to second base on a wild pitch by Krieg.

Tech (1-2) returns to action at 11:30 a.m. this morning when it faces 19th ranked UL-Lafayette in a game that can be followed on gametracker at www.ragincajuns.com.
