RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech fans are urged to come celebrate with head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and the 2008-09 Lady Techsters during the team's annual banquet set for April 15 at 7 p.m. in the Tech Student Center.

The Lady Techsters captured the 2009 Western Athletic Conference regular season title, advanced to the second round of the postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament and posted a mark of 21-13, including winning 9 of their last 11 games.

This year's guest speaker will be former Techster Debbie Primeaux Williamson, who played for the program from 1981 through 1984 and was a member of two national championship teams.

In addition to Williamson's remarks, Weatherspoon will discuss the season and the accomplishments of this year's team while awards will be presented and a highlight video will be shown. It will also be an opportunity to bid farewell to Lady Techster seniors Shordy Mulford and Keshia Warren one final time.

Tickets cost $16 per person or $240 for a VIP table of eight and can be purchased by calling the Marbury Alumni Center at 318-255-7950.
