RUSTON -- After picking up its first win of the 2009 season, Louisiana Tech will return to action Friday, March 6, at 12 p.m. at the Lady Techster Tennis complex.

Last week, Tech got a 5-2 victory over South Dakota State. Winning their matches were senior Ada Makowska at the No. 2 spot (6-1; 6-0), sophomore Rocio Juarez at No. 4 (6-1; 6-1), sophomore Mallory Smith at No. 5 (6-2; 6-3) and freshman Laura Rodriguez at No. 6 (6-0; 6-1).

Tech swept the doubles' matches with the team of Makowska and senior Ashley Wedderburn winning 8-5, Juarez and freshman Maartje De Wit winning 8-1 and Smith and Rodriguez winning 8-6.

Admission to all Techster home tennis matches is free of charge.
