ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (12-3)
LA Tech split its pair of road matches this past weekend.  The Bulldogs first defeated Sam Houston 6-1 in Huntsville, improving their record against CUSA opponents this season to 4-0.  The following day though, LA Tech had its nine-match winning streak come to an end with a 4-0 loss at 54th-ranked Rice.

Despite the winning streak being snapped, the 'Dogs still have other streaks that are alive.  LA Tech has won 10 consecutive home matches as well as 10 straight CUSA matches (regular season only).

Overall, the Bulldogs are 50-24 in dual singles, having registered double-digit wins on courts one, five and six.  Zoie Epps continues to pace LA Tech, owning a 12-1 record at the No. 1 spot.  The junior has dropped only two sets all spring.  Three other Bulldogs – Maria Tsironi, June Vigneron, and Isabella Walker – have won at least seven matches.

In dual doubles, LA Tech is a combined 23-12, having claimed 10 doubles point this spring.  The tandem of Tsironi and Alice Brook have a team-best 9-5 record while playing at the No. 2 position.  Meanwhile, Epps and Walker continue to be nationally ranked as the duo sits at 59th in the country.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE (9-5)
After opening the spring season with a pair of losses, Texas State has won nine of its last 12 matches with the Bobcats reeling off six straight victories at one point.  They have won three of their last four contests, most recently prevailing 4-1 over Georgia State this past Saturday.

Texas State is a combined 37-30 in dual singles with most of its wins coming from the bottom of the lineup.  Senior Ireland Simme has been the most productive Bobcat, owning a 9-2 record and is riding a seven-match winning streak.  She has played her last four matches at the No. 2 position.

The Bobcats are a dangerous doubles unit, having put together a combined record of 25-7, having won the doubles point in 11 of their last 12 matches.  The duo Olivia Collins and Simme have tallied a 9-2 record together, playing at the top position.  They were recently named the Sun Belt Doubles Team of the Week after sweeping a pair of matches versus Troy and Georgia State.

THE SERIES
LA Tech has a 6-3 advantage over Texas State in the all-time series.  The Bobcats won the first three matchups, but the Bulldogs have come out on top in the last six meetings.  The two teams last matched up in 2022 with LA Tech prevailing 5-2 in Ruston.
