COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M used a seven-run fourth inning to down Louisiana Tech 11-0 Sunday afternoon, snapping the Lady Techsters season-best four game winning streak.
The Aggies (18-8) scored three runs in the first, one in the third and then added seven more in the fourth to defeat Louisiana Tech. It was Texas A&M who knocked the Lady Techsters out of last year's NCAA Tournament.
Tech starter Krissi Oliver (4-7) allowed 10 earned runs on eight hits and three walks in 3.1 innings of action while reliever Wanda Malone allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk over the final 0.2 innings of work.
The Lady Techsters recorded four hits, one each by Danielle Sheridan, Kylie Bassett, Summer Young and Jessica Kirby but lined into two double plays in the first three innings ending scoring threats when the game was still in doubt.
Tech returns to action Tuesday when it travels to UL-Lafayette to play a doubleheader against the Top 25 Ragin Cajuns starting at 4 p.m.
