Techsters Land on ESPNU Twice This Winter

Oct. 1, 2010

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech will be televised at least twice on ESPNU this year as part of the Western Athletic Conference's women's basketball package with the network.

A total of four WAC women's games will be aired live on ESPNU this year, including three regular season games and the championship game of the WAC Tournament in March, held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The Lady Techsters will be televised on ESPNU on Thursday, Jan. 13 when they travel to Fresno State for a rematch of last year's WAC Tournament championship game -- a contest that Tech won 68-66 en route to returning to the NCAA Tournament.

Then in late February the Lady Techsters will be televised again when they travel to Reno to face Nevada on February 28. This is a rematch of last year's WAC Tournament semifinal game that Tech won 80-77.

The Lady Techsters return the nucleus of last year's team that posted a 23-9 record, won the WAC Tournament title and advanced to the program's 26th NCAA Tournament.

Hall of Fame head coach Teresa Weatherspoon will rely on a wealth of experience and an influx of talented newcomers this year.
