RUSTON - Louisiana Tech's Dec. 19 women's basketball game at LSU will be televised live on Cox Sports Television as the two perennial state powers will tipoff at 3 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The Lady Techsters and Lady Tigers will meet for the 26th time with LA Tech holding a 14-11 edge in the series, although the Lady Tigers won last year's meeting 77-74 in Ruston.

Tech, which opens the regular season Nov. 13 at home against Prairie View A&M, will also be on national television at least twice this year. The Lady Techsters will play at Fresno State Jan. 13 and at Nevada Feb. 28, both of which will be televised on ESPNU.

Head coach Teresa Weatherspoon's team returns the nucleus of last year's squad that won 23 games, captured the WAC Tournament title and participated in the program's 26th NCAA Tournament.
