RUSTON - In conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the Lady Techsters inaugural women's basketball national championship, Louisiana Tech will hold a reunion for former players, coaches and support staff from all three of the national title teams on Saturday, Jan. 22.

The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters won national titles in 1981 (AIAW), 1982 (NCAA) and 1988 (NCAA) under the direction of coaches Sonja Hogg and Leon Barmore.

Louisiana Tech's Athletic Department, the Division of University Advancement and the Lady Techster Tip-off Club will join forces to host the event that will be held in conjunction with the Lady Techsters important Western Athletic Conference contest against the Nevada Wolf Pack scheduled for 7 p.m. that night.

Legendary head coach Sonja Hogg has already committed to coming back for the event along with a number of former players and support staff including All-Americans Pam Kelly, Angela Turner, Lori Scott and Teresa Weatherspoon.

The event will include a luncheon at Squire Creek Country Club at 11:30 a.m. on that Saturday (Jan. 22) that is open to all LA Tech fans. Anyone wishing to attend the luncheon can purchase tickets for $25 each by calling Barbara Swart at the Marbury Alumni House at 318-255-7950.
