RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech soccer team (8-7-4, 1-5 WAC) plays host to Hawaii (4-10-1, 3-1-1 WAC) at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Lady Techster Soccer Complex on Senior Day. The game will be the final Western Athletic Conference meeting between the two programs as the Rainbow Wahine leave for the Big West Conference next year.

"There needs to be no motivation coming from me for this game," said head coach Kevin Sherry. "If you can get motivated playing for the seniors and a spot in the conference tournament then there is something seriously wrong."

The Lady Techsters will honor the team's seven seniors, Cat Buchanan (Shawnee, Kan.), Brittany Coffinbargar (Springfield, Ill.), Scotti Culton (Waterloo, Ill.), Rachel King (O'Fallon, Mo.), Olivia Lukasewich (Woodbridge, Ontario), Amy Quintana (Wheaton, Ill.) and Chelsea White (Lucas, Texas), during a pregame ceremony.

"Overall, if you look at the record of the program before they arrived and since they have been here you can see what influence they have had on the program which is going to be their lasting legacy," Sherry said.

Offensively, Tech is paced by Lukasewich and Culton with six goals and assists respectively.

Sophomore Caitlin Updyke (Broomfield, Colo.) has started 18 games in goal with a 0.88 goals-against-average and 72 saves, which is the fourth highest total in a season in program history.

Hawaii leads the series 5-1 with Tech winning 3-0 last season in Honolulu.

"They are probably the most athletic team in the conference," Sherry said. "They are very competitive and committed so it will probably be the toughest game of the year."

Brittani Lum has scored five goals and recorded 11 points to lead the Rainbow Wahine offensively. Rachel Domingo has been credited with five assists on the year. In goal, Kanani Taaca has started all 15 games, posting 67 saves and a 2.08 GAA.
