DENVER - Louisiana Tech senior forward Adrienne Johnson has been named the Verizon Wireless Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 7-13.

In that game, she passed former Kodak All-American Nora Lewis into 10th place on the LA Tech all-time scoring list.

Five days later, Johnson scored 24 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds in an 88-79 win in Las Cruces. With Tech trailing by one at the half, she scored 16 points in the second half to lead Tech to 52 second-half points. For the week, Johnson averaged 20.5 points and 14.0 rebounds while shooting 52 percent (13-of-25) from the field and 94 percent (15-of-16) from the free throw line. The senior now has a WAC-leading 11 double-doubles on the season.
