AP Top 25 Poll
RUSTON - After upping its season-long winning streak to 13 games this weekend, Louisiana Tech picked up four additional points in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll released Monday.
The Lady Techsters, who are 20-5 overall, 12-0 in Western Athletic Conference play, received a total of 21 points in this week's AP Poll - up from 17 points that LA Tech received last week.
Despite the increase in total points, Tech fell one spot from No. 30 to 31 this week as Texas Tech jumped the Lady Techsters after the Lady Red Raiders upset win over previously No. 1 ranked Baylor on Saturday.
The only new addition to the AP Top 25 Poll was Georgia which re-entered at No. 22 after the Lady Bulldogs impressive win over Kentucky.
LA Tech's most impressive win of the season came against 22nd ranked Georgia when the Lady Techsters defeated UGA 77-62 on Dec. 29 in Miami, Fla.
LA Tech will embark on its final regular season road trip of the year this Friday when the Lady Techsters travel to face Utah State Saturday and Nevada on Monday. The Lady Techsters game against the Wolf Pack on Monday will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
