AP Top 25 Poll
RUSTON - Louisiana Tech picked up a season-high 41 points in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll as the Lady Techsters moved up to 27th.
Tech (23-6, 15-1 WAC) trails only Iowa (53 points) in the Others Receiving Votes and is only 37 points behind 25th ranked Marquette in this week's poll. The 41 points was an increase of nine over last week when Tech garnered 32.
The Lady Techsters defeated Boise State and Idaho this past week to capture the outright Western Athletic Conference regular season title, the program's 8th WAC regular season title in the last 10 years.
LA Tech enters this week's Western Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will play its first game Friday at 2 p.m. CT at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The championship game is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
