RUSTON - Louisiana Tech won its third-straight match in women's tennis Thursday with a 7-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff at the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.

The Lady Techsters improved to 11-6 on the season and 5-0 against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Lions fell to 2-7.

In three of the five singles matches played, Tech did not give up a single game as Vivian ten Dolle (No. 2), Maartje de Wit (No. 3) and Anna Zurek (No. 5) each won 6-0, 6-0. In No. 4 sinlges, Alena Erofeyeva defeated Jarissa Greeenard 6-0, 6-3. Tech's No. 1 singles player, Elne Barnard, had the toughest match as she defeated Fabiola Cardoso 6-2, 7-5.

In doubles, Zurek and Barnard defeated Fabiola and Maria Cabane 8-1 at the No. 1 position. In No. 2 doubles, ten Dolle and de Wit defeated Greenard and Lauren Valecillos 8-1.

UAPB had just five players and thus forfeited the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches. It was Tech's fourth shutout victory of the season.

The Lady Techsters will next play at New Mexico State on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT before wrapping up the regular season at home against Nevada on April 23.
