Camp Information
RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech women's basketball program has set the dates for the 2011 Spoon-Fed Basketball Camps which are designed to help young girls of all ages improve on their basketball fundamentals.
This year the Spoon-Fed Basketball Camps will consist of a Day Camp (grades 2-7), a Position Camp (grades 6-12), a Team Camp (varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams) and a Shootout (varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams).
The Day Camp (for girls entering grades 2-7) is set for May 31 through June 3 from 9 a.m. until noon each day at the Thomas Assembly Center. Cost of the camp is $100 per camper and deadline to sign up is May 27.
The Position Camp (for girls entering grades 6-12) is schedule for June 12-15. This camp costs $250 for overnight campers and $175 for commuters and is designed for the concentration and development of both individual and team fundamentals.
The Team Camp (for varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams) is set for June 15-17 as the teams will be divided into groups according to classification. Each team is guaranteed at least five games and teams must have a minimum of at least eight players and a coach. Deadline to register a team is June 6 and cost is $360 per team ($450 if the team is also going to compete in the Shootout).
The Team Shootout (for varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams) will be June 18 as each team will be in a competitive environment with LHSAA trained officials. Each team is guaranteed at least three games with at least one of those games taking place on the Thomas Assembly Center floor. Cost is $180 per team (only $90 if the team also competes in the Team Camp).
