Roliard's Career Stats at Louisiana Tech (2009-11)
RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech LHP Kyle Roliard was chosen with the 408th overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies Tuesday afternoon. Roliard, a pitcher/outfielder at LA Tech, was selected in the 13th round of the MLB Draft.
During the 2011 season, Roliard was 1-3 with a 5.35 ERA in 13 appearances on the m ound. He started in four games and pitched 35.1 innings, allowing 23 runs (21 earned) on 35 hits while walking 14 and striking out 40. His walk-to-strikeout ratio was one of the best on the team.
Over his three-year career, Roliard was 6-5 with an 8.23 ERA in 37 appearances in 70.0 innings pitched. Roliard walked 45 while striking out 70 in his career.
At the plate in 2011, Roliard hit .330 in 58 games played with a team-leading 76 hits while he was second on the team with 44 runs scored.
In his career at Tech, Roliard was .340 at the plate with 173 hits and 118 runs scored in 509 at bats.
Roliard just completed his junior year and has the option to return to the school's campus in Ruston for his senior season.
