Oct. 16, 2014 RUSTON - Louisiana Tech softball will host ULM Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Lady Techster Softball Complex as Mark Montgomery and Co. play only their second game of the fall season.
Admission to the contest is free.
Tech defeated Bossier Parish Community College 18-0 in 10 innings two weeks ago but due to inclement weather the Lady Techsters have seen a number of games postponed to later in October.
Friday night's game against the Warhawks is scheduled to go 10 innings. Montgomery said his pitching rotation for the game will be scripted with each of his four pitchers getting action in the game regardless of the score.
In the win over BPCC two weeks ago, Tech banged out 20 hits, including nine by newcomers, as Anna Cross, Pauline Tufi, Kassie Harris, Lindsey Neyland, Natalie Moran, Katie Smith, and Karlee Jensen all recorded multi-hit games.
Bianca Duran, Bailey Allen, Carolina Sanchez and Pauline Tufi combined to allow only five hits and no walks while striking out 13 in the game.
Tech softball fans can also follow the program on social media sites, including Twitter (LATechSB) and Facebook (LouisianaTechSoftball).
