Oct. 2, 2014 RUSTON - As part of the festivities surrounding Saturday's home football game between Louisiana Tech and UTEP, members of the Lady Techster basketball team will be signing autographs in Bulldog Village from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
Kickoff between the Bulldogs and the Miners is at 6 p.m. at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Head coach Tyler Summitt's players will be available for autographs, pictures and fan interaction during the two-and-a-half hour timeframe in Bulldog Village, which is located on the front steps of the Thomas Assembly Center.
This year's roster includes seven returning letter winners in seniors Kanedria Andrews, Whitney Frazier, Savanna Langston, Kelia Shelton and Chrisstasia Walter along with sophomores Kevione Moten and JaQuan Jackson. The Techsters also welcome five newcomers in freshman Tiara Davenport, juniors Brandi Wingate and Ruby Richie and Marquette transfers Ashley Santos and Brooke Pumroy.
The team will also be recognized on the field at halftime of Saturday's football game.
The Lady Techsters will open official team workouts Monday in preparation for the exhibition opener against Mississippi College on Nov. 1. Tech's season opener is Nov. 15 against Stephen F. Austin and its home opener is Dec. 7 against Loyola-New Orleans.
