RUSTON - Louisiana Tech head coach Tyler Summitt gives all of the credit to his assistants when it comes to the Lady Techsters recruiting class.

The truth be told, it was certainly a team effort that helped land three future Lady Techsters on Wednesday during the first day of the early signing period.

The fax machine in the LA Tech women's basketball office produced official NLI's from Kierra Anthony (New Iberia, La./New Iberia HS), Reauna Cleaver (Elizabethtown, Kent./Elizabethtown HS) and Jasmine Leblanc (Breaux Bridge, La./Breaux Bridge HS).

According to Summitt, the fax machine's work isn't done as he expects two more NLIs to come through in the next few days.

Cleaver is the most highly-ranked of the four although Summitt believes the entire group will produce a solid foundation for the program over the next four years. The 6-foot-2-inch power forward is ranked in the top 200 in the country by numerous publications, including ProspectsNation.com and Bret McCormick's All-Star Girls Report. She was recruited heavily by Ole Miss, Kansas, LSU, Michigan State, Missouri and many other Power 5 conference programs.

"She is an incredible signee for us," Summitt said. "She was recruited by so many big schools. She comes from successful high school and AAU programs. She does it all. She defends. She rebounds. She can post up. She can shoot the three. She has very good ball handling for a 6-2 player. She has great athleticism and most importantly she is a great character young lady."

Cleaver - affectionately known as Sweets - helped lead coach Tim Mudd's Elizabethtown program to three straight District 17 titles and the Kentucky state title game appearance last year. The three-time all-district and all-region honoree, averaged 12.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game last year while earning all-state honors.

"I feel like I developed a great relationship with the coaching staff," Cleaver said. "I know they are going to really push me to get better. Coach Tyler is a great coach, and he has high standards. He knows what he wants out of his players. I know his standards are high and that's what I am looking for. I want someone to push me so I can get better so I can play (on the next level)."

Anthony is a 5-foot-6-inch point guard from New Iberia. She led the Yellow Jackets to the district title and the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state tournament. The past two seasons she earned the district MVP award and averaged 18.4 points, 4.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game as a junior.

"Kierra is another Louisiana player, and one of the best senior guards in the state," Summitt said. "She can play the point or the wing. Her strength is her pull-up jumper, but she can shoot the three and take it to the hole. We saw her go toe-to-toe with some of the best point guards in the nation when we were recruiting her in July. She was heavily recruited by a number of our peer schools. The ball handling position is one we definitely had a need at and so we are excited about signing her."

The three-time all-district honoree was named the Player of the Year on the All-Acadiana team (Lafayette Advertiser) and the Player of the Year on the Best of the Teche team (Daily Iberian) in 2014. She is a three-time all-state honoree who also lettered for the New Iberia track and field team.

"When I went there on my visit I just liked everything about it," Anthony said. "I felt like I fit in well with the team more than any other school I visited. Everything was perfect. There was nothing I didn't like about the school. Jasmine (Leblanc) committed to LA Tech before I did. But we have played together the last two years and it played a role in me deciding to go to LA Tech because she was there."

Leblanc is a strong, physical 5-foot-10-inch guard that has lettered the past three seasons for ooaches Scotty Borel and Chana Jordan at Breaux Bridge High School, where she helped lead the program to three straight playoff appearances (the school had only made the state playoffs once since the mid-1990s before Leblanc's arrival).

"Our staff will always try to recruit Louisiana players," Summitt said. "We are very excited about Jasmine. She is a very hard worker. She is self-motivated in everything she does, on the court and in the classroom. She is a great athlete. She will be able to be a lock-down defender for us. She will be a great rebounder for us with her elevation. Her offensive strength will be her mid-range shot and her ability to finish around the rim."

The three-time all-district honoree was named to the Lafayette Advertiser's All-Acadiana team as a junior after averaging 21.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

"We really wanted to be part of the rebuilding that's going on," Leblanc told the Advertiser prior to signing day. "We know that Louisiana Tech used to be a top notch program and Kierra and I feel that we can help rebuild them and get them back to where they once were. I'm so excited. I didn't think I would come this far. I really liked the environment at LA Tech. They have a lot of great people there. When I went on my visit I just fell in love with it. It was just amazing."
