Post-Game Notes

- With the 77-64 victory, LA Tech now only trails 3-2 in the all-time series against Samford. The victory broke a two-game losing skid to the Bulldogs of Birmingham.

- LA Tech improved to 5-1 on the season with its fourth straight win.

- The victory marked the third straight season the Bulldogs have defeated an opponent from the Southern Conference (2012 vs. Chattanooga and 2013 vs. UNCG).

- LA Tech has now won 17 straight home games and 36 of the last 37. Under coach White the Bulldogs are 43-5.

- LA Tech has now won 40 of the last 41 non-conference home games.

- LA Tech starting lineup - Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Erik McCree, Raheem Appleby and Kenneth Smith. The same five Bulldogs have started all six games this season.

- LA Tech forced 15 Samford turnovers. In the three plus seasons under head coach Michael White, the defense has forced at least 15 turnovers in over half of the games (66 out of 111). LA Tech is now 56-10 in those contests.

- LA Tech pulled down 15 offensive rebounds. That is the most since they had 16 in the season opener at Southern.

- Under coach White, LA Tech remains a perfect 71-0 when leading with five minutes to go in the game. Tonight the Bulldogs led 67-45 at that time.

- Raheem Appleby scored a game-high 20 points, including 18 consecutive for LA Tech that lasted from five seconds left in the first half to over seven minutes into the second half. It marked the 21st time Appleby has scored at least 20 points in a game in his career.

- Raheem Appleby went 4-of-9 from three, tying him for seventh place all-time for career three-pointers made with Brett Guillory (129). The senior also went 4-of-9 earlier this season at Temple.

- Michale Kyser registered eight blocks on the night, one shy of tying his single game high of nine which he set last season versus Centenary. Kyser also had nine points and a game-high eight rebounds.

- Alex Hamilton scored a season-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting. The junior also had five steals, a new career-high.

- Despite missing some action due to an ankle injury, Kenneth Smith recorded six assists. It marked the 74th time in his career he has had at least five in a single game.

- Leo Edwards scored his first points as a Bulldog. The redshirt freshman sank two free throws in the second stanza.

- Xavian Stapleton was the third Bulldog in double figures with a new career-high 13 points.
