Aug. 21, 2014 RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech Athletics and LA Tech Sports Properties is partnering with Log Cabin Grill, Ponchatoula's and Cheeburger Cheeburger of Ruston to bring fans a free Mobile Alerts text messaging program.

The mobile updates will be run Phizzle, a mobile technology platform that allows its users to connect with their audiences via mobile interactivity. One of Forbes Most Promising Companies in 2014, Phizzle's clients include the NBA, NFL, NHL and FBS universities.

There are two stand-alone programs: Insider Alerts and Score Updates. Fans will receive messages via text. The mobile alerts phone number is 90561 and fans can save it in their phones for future use.

The Score Alerts feature updates once a quarter for football, women's basketball and men's basketball. To sign up, text LTSCORE to 90561

The restaurants, owned by Tech graduates Chris Garriga and Johnny Gaudet, have been instrumental in bringing this high-tech program to LA Tech Athletics.
